papertrey october blog hop challenge

I adore Papertrey Ink. Their cardstock, stamps, dies, ribbons, buttons...that's why I'm surprised that it took me so long to play along with their monthly blog hop challenges. But, it's better late than never!

The challenge photo is amazing. Seeing these fabric pumpkins...I wish that I could sew. Serious envy setting in over here...

I was particularly inspired by the leaves and the freeflow pattern of the top pumpkin.

I used gold ink to stamp a random pattern using Leaf Prints onto a piece of 4" square Kraft cardstock. Once dry, the veins of the larger leaves were stamped with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I then cut this into 1" strips.

The sentiment was stamped on another 4" x 1" strip of Kraft cardstock and then embossed with gold Filigree detail powder. The strips were adhered directly to the Dark Chocolate card base leaving a small gap between each one. Rustic Jute twine was wrapped around the card a few times, tied in a bow and accented with a button.

Here's a close-up of the amazing shimmery goodness of that amazing Delicata ink. *sigh*

You can find this fab new ink HERE.

I like it! I hope you do too :)

Thanks for visiting,
Barb xo

This lovely! The gold ink is amazing! I'm going to have to look for that. Cutting the paper makes it look like it's on wood planks. Very cool.

Wow! This card is so beautiful. When I first looked at it, it seemed like you had stamped onto muslin - awesome stamping to make that effect come across!

Love the gold leaves, and that twine and button are just perfect. A beautiful card. ;-)

Beautiful - simple and elegant. Falling leaves a most suitable image for a sympathy card.
