Drunken Stampers #115 - "Miss Congeniality"

It's my first post on behalf of the Drunken Stampers DT and I gotta say, I'm happy this day finally rolled around! This week's prompt is the movie Miss Congeniality or the general themes of Princesses/pagents.

When I think of Princesses my mind always seems to drift to the various Disney movies I still love to watch now that I'm old and dealing with focal point sag. You know, the ones that gave us unrealistic expectations about hair? Yup, those ones! ;)

Remember this scene? Love it.

So I created a card where two sweet bluebirds are decorating for a Princess's birthday party! Here it is...

I love how it turned out :)

I hope you'll join us this week?

Happy Crafting!

Barb, the moment I saw your card...I totally knew what you were going for without the added explanation!
You so should be pleased with that card! I just love the subtlety of it and those blue birds are just perfect!

Barb, you've set the bar high for your first card! LOL

What a great design. Love the vintage-y PP with the start white cardbase. And who doesn't smile when seeing bluebirds? Happy weekend.

Congrats girl! You definitely have nailed this opening night appearance (insert raucous, loud applause with some woo-hoos thrown in).

Clever idea, creative execution of that idea and beautifully clean and simple! The 'banner' shaped panel is sooooo effective!

Far beyond cute, my dear :) What we wouldn't give for bluebirds decorating our houses! (on a side note: we had a bird in our house once. It decorated. It wasn't party-like.)
